Patna: Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, has criticised his younger brother Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and Rahul Gandhi over their ongoing Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar, arguing that the campaign is “wasting time” by focusing on the Special Investigation Register (SIR) issue instead of core concerns such as education, healthcare and unemployment.
Speaking to reporters after meeting officials at the Election Commission in Patna on monday, Tej Pratap said: “We had resolved to make Tejashwi the chief minister. But now he has slowly gone astray.” He added that the yatra, which began on sunday and will travel through 25 districts until September 1, was unlikely to yield results since “nothing is going to happen with these issues”.
