Tej Pratap Yadav, who had distanced himself from his family’s party, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), established the Janshakti Janata Dal to reshape his political career. He contested the Mahua constituency in the last assembly elections but was unsuccessful.
Recently, Tej Pratap attracted attention when he lodged a police complaint against a former IPS officer over alleged indecent remarks, and publicly supported his sister Rohini Acharya amid a controversy. With Rathod’s appointment, Janshakti Janata Dal appears to be accelerating efforts to strengthen its presence across Bihar.
