Patna: Tej Pratap Yadav has shared a video from Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh, where he is currently on a religious visit. The former Bihar minister posted the video on social media platform X, showing him playing a flute while performers dressed as gopis danced around him amid a carpet of rose petals.
In the video, Yadav appears to be participating in a devotional programme at Vanshivat, a site in Vrindavan associated with Lord Krishna in Hindu tradition.
Post Highlights Significance Of Vanshivat
Alongside the video, Yadav described the religious importance of Vanshivat. He wrote that the site is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna played his flute, attracting devotees and gopis through its melody.
According to his post, Vanshivat is regarded by devotees as a symbol of faith, love and devotion. He said the location continues to hold spiritual significance for followers of Krishna.
Part Of A Wider Pilgrimage
The Vrindavan visit is the latest stop in Yadav’s ongoing pilgrimage to prominent religious sites.
Earlier, he visited the Vindhyavasini Temple in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. Sharing photographs from the temple, he said he prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of Bihar and the country.
Before that, he also visited the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi. In a social media post, he said he had sought the blessings of Baba Vishwanath during his visit.
Social Media Activity Draws Attention
Yadav remains active on social media and regularly shares updates from his travels and public engagements.
Observers have noted that several of his posts tag figures including Samrat Choudhary, Nitish Kumar, Yogi Adityanath and Amit Shah.
Political Background
Yadav has been politically independent following his expulsion from the Rashtriya Janata Dal. The move came after a public controversy involving Anushka Yadav, after which party leadership and family members distanced themselves from him.
Subsequently, Yadav launched a separate political outfit and contested the Bihar Assembly elections. He contested from the Mahua constituency, while his party fielded additional candidates. However, neither Yadav nor his candidates secured electoral success.
