Patna: With the Bihar Assembly elections expected to be announced shortly, opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav has stepped up his outreach, spending time with his constituents in Raghopur.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader was seen in a relaxed setting, dressed in a black shirt, where he joined locals in listening to bhajans and sharing food. Posting photographs from the gathering on X, Yadav wrote: “I took time out from my busy schedule to enjoy a meal with family members from my constituency, Raghopur, at a feast hosted at my residence today, and enjoyed the Nirgun Bhajans of renowned singer Bharat Sharma ji.”

Emphasising the symbolism of eating together, he added: “Eating with family members is not just a social or emotional act, but is also important for prosperity, progress, regional development, dialogue, and mutual harmony. Together, we will build a developed, prosperous, strong, better, and advanced Raghopur and a new Bihar.”
Speaking to reporters during the visit, Yadav underlined the importance of free and fair elections, saying voters had the right to cast their ballot in a “conducive environment”.
The RJD leader has been making frequent appearances across the state in recent weeks. Last month, he shared a video from Madhubani, where he was seen dining at the home of a party worker. In the clip, Yadav ate roti, saag and chutney cooked on a clay stove, a gesture that was widely circulated on social media as a sign of his rustic appeal.
