Jehanabad: Tej Pratap Yadav openly rebuked a supporter who raised the slogan “Abki Baar Tejashwi Sarkar” during a campaign event in Lakhwar village. He told the attendee, “Don’t talk nonsense! Are you an RSS supporter? The police will arrest you,” warning against creating unnecessary tension.
Tej Pratap emphasised that government belongs to the people, not any single individual, signalling his disapproval of Tejashwi Yadav’s claim as the Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial candidate. Analysts view his remarks as an indirect critique of Tejashwi and the party leadership.
At the event in Ghosi Assembly, Tej Pratap stated that employment opportunities cannot be achieved through “dramatic slogans” and urged citizens to focus on collective governance. He also criticised Prashant Kishore, calling him an impostor and warning the public against manipulation.
Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, meanwhile, continued his Voter Adhikar Yatra, promoting his leadership and positioning himself as the key contender for Bihar’s chief ministership. Tej Pratap’s statements have brought internal RJD tensions into the spotlight, reflecting differences over leadership and the party’s direction ahead of the elections.
