Rajgir: Visitors to Bihar’s Valmikinagar Tiger Reserve will need to wait until January 5 to secure a spot, as online bookings are currently full. The reserve, popular for its nature safaris, jungle walks, birdwatching, tree houses, and river viewpoints, requires pre-booking to manage crowds and protect wildlife, according to the state tourism department.
Tourists can book tickets through the official Valmiki Tiger Reserve website, providing a photo ID, mobile number, and the number of visitors. Payments are accepted online, and an e-ticket must be carried during the visit.
Meanwhile, the Rajgir Glass Bridge and Nature Safari will be closed on January 1. Bookings for these attractions are also full until December 30, with 1,000 tickets issued daily for offline visitors. Separate slots are available for morning and evening safaris. The Forest Department has emphasised that entry without prior booking is prohibited and that all visitors must adhere to the rules to ensure safety and conservation.
Those planning to celebrate the New Year in Rajgir are advised to schedule their visit for the first week of January.
