Muzaffarpur: Vande Bharat Express was targeted once again in Muzaffarpur by vandals who pelted the high-speed train with stones, shattering the window of one coach. The incident occurred between Kanti and Motipur on Thursday evening, affecting Train No. 26501, the Gorakhpur–Patliputra Express. No injuries have been reported, but the safety-laminated glass of Coach C-5 was completely broken, sparking concern among passengers.
A case has been registered at the Bapudham Motihari Railway Protection Force (RPF) post against unidentified perpetrators. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and gathering statements from the train’s guard, manager, and escort party as part of the investigation. The RPF, with local police support, has announced an operation covering the area between Kaparpura and Kanti to identify those responsible.
The Vande Bharat Express, one of India’s premier high-speed trains, has faced multiple attacks in recent months, raising safety concerns among travellers. Officials have yet to confirm when the culprits behind this latest attack will be apprehended.
