Ranchi/Patna: The Web Journalists Association of India (WJAI) has announced its new executive committee for the Jharkhand chapter as part of its ongoing efforts to expand the organisation’s presence across the country.
The appointments were approved by National President Anand Kaushal and formally announced by National General Secretary Madhup Mani “Pikku”.
Deepak Ojha Named State President
Under the new organisational structure, Deepak Ojha has been appointed as the Jharkhand State President.
The newly constituted executive committee includes:
Vice Presidents: Rajiv Ranjan, Mukesh Kumar and Dilip Kumar
General Secretary: Purnendu Pushpesh
Secretaries: Pankaj Jain, Rakesh Kumar and Amit Sinha
Joint Secretaries: Shashi Pando Pandey and Naveen Sharma
Treasurer: Shivshankar Pandey
Office Secretary: Rajiv Kumar Singh
Executive Committee Members: Chittaranjan Pandey, Abhishek Bhagat, Manoj Sharma, Kanhaiya Pandey, Sanjay Satpathy, Kailash Goswami, Kamal Kumar, Hemant Kumar, Deepak Kumar Ojha, Sumit Rai, Prem Sinha, Bitu Kumar and Bittu Kumar Singh.
National Leadership Extends Congratulations
Congratulating the newly appointed office-bearers, National President Anand Kaushal said the organisation remained committed to strengthening the voice of web journalists across India.
“I am confident that the new team in Jharkhand will effectively communicate the organisation’s objectives and work for the welfare of journalists while taking the organisation to new heights in the state,” he said.
Other national office-bearers also congratulated the newly elected team and expressed confidence that they would discharge their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication.
Focus On Organisational Expansion
Speaking after his appointment, Jharkhand State President Deepak Ojha thanked the national leadership for its confidence in him.
He said the organisation would work to expand its presence across all districts of Jharkhand by appointing active journalists to vacant positions and strengthening district-level units.
Ojha said the association would continue to work towards protecting the rights, dignity and safety of journalists while promoting the growth of digital journalism in the state.
