Patna: On Thursday morning, five fearless criminals entered Paras Hospital in Patna and shot notorious gangster Chandan Mishra four times. The attack happened in room number 209 while he was undergoing treatment on parole from jail. People present in the hospital started running in panic when they saw the gunmen with weapons.
Eyewitnesses said there were no police or security guards present at the time of the shooting. The attackers entered confidently, fired at Mishra, and left without any fear. CCTV footage shows the gunmen escaping after carrying out the murder.
Police said Chandan Mishra was a dreaded criminal from Buxar with many murder cases against him. He was convicted in one case and sent to Bhagalpur jail from Buxar jail. He had come out on parole for his treatment at Paras Hospital. Police believe this murder is linked to his old gang rivalries.
Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma said the shooters have been identified with the help of CCTV footage and Buxar police. “This was a planned attack by his rival gang. We are searching for the criminals involved,” he said.
