Vaishali / Patna :A shocking case of domestic violence has emerged from Vaishali, where a woman allegedly killed her husband in a brutal attack on the night of Holi. The incident, which took place in the Kartaha police station area of Lalganj, has left the local community in shock.
Deadly Dispute on Holi Night
According to reports, the couple had an argument after the husband allegedly found his wife speaking to someone on the phone. The dispute escalated, and in a fit of rage, the woman attacked her husband with a brick before fatally injuring him with a knife. She then locked the man inside a room and left the house with their children.
Family members later discovered the injured man and rushed him to Lalganj Referral Hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Family’s Account of the Incident
The victim’s sister-in-law recounted that the argument began around 6 pm when the husband returned home after celebrating Holi. Although she initially intervened to pacify the couple, the fight resumed later that night.
“When I heard the commotion again, I found that my brother-in-law had been locked inside the room. When we managed to open it with the help of locals, we found him gravely injured. We took him to the hospital, but it was too late,” she said.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Local police were alerted, and the accused woman was taken into custody. Gopal Mandal, Sadar SDPO-2, confirmed the details of the case, stating that the woman had attacked her husband multiple times with a brick before inflicting further injuries with a knife.
“The woman has been arrested and is being questioned,” Mandal said.
The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for postmortem, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances leading to the fatal attack.
