Gayaji: The discovery of a buried woman’s body near the Falgu river in Bihar’s Gayaji district has shocked local residents and created an atmosphere of fear across nearby villages. The body was found in the Kukiyasin area under Buniyadganj police station limits when villagers noticed disturbed soil on the riverbank. Animals had dug into the sand, partially exposing the body. Alarmed by the sight, locals immediately informed the police, who rushed to the spot and secured the area.
Police officials said the woman appears to be around 35 to 36 years old, but her identity is still unknown. The body was buried deep under the sand, leading investigators to believe that she may have been murdered and then secretly hidden to destroy evidence. The way the body was concealed suggests that the crime may have been carefully planned. The remains were recovered and sent to Magadh Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination, which will help determine the cause and time of death.
After the news spread, fear and concern grew among residents living near the river. Many people gathered at the site, worried about their safety and demanding that the culprits be caught quickly. Police have begun checking records of missing women and are sharing information in nearby villages and city areas. Photographs and physical details are being circulated to help identify the victim and trace her family.
Buniyadganj station house officer Dharmendra Kumar Yadav said that the investigation is being carried out seriously from all angles. A forensic team and a sniffer dog were brought to the scene to look for clues. Police are also questioning people in the surrounding areas to find out if anyone saw suspicious activity. “The body of a woman has been found. An investigation is underway. We are taking help from forensic experts and a sniffer dog,” he said.
The police have assured the public that all possible resources are being used to solve the case. They believe the post-mortem report may provide important clues. Until the woman is identified and the truth is known, the people of the area remain anxious, hoping for quick justice and safety to return to their community.
