New Delhi: The 9th Bihar Chhatra Sansad (BCS) concluded at the Constitution Club of India on Tuesday, drawing youth leaders, policymakers, journalists, academicians, and social thinkers from across the country. The event showcased a series of discussions and panel sessions centred on governance, democratic participation, and Bihar’s socio-economic development.
The conference opened with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolising knowledge and collective progress. Over the day, participants engaged in interactive dialogues on youth leadership, civic responsibility, and the role of innovation and technology in driving inclusive growth.

Speakers at the event emphasised the importance of informed and proactive youth in shaping public discourse and societal change. Reet Sundaram Jha, ADG at the Department of Telecom, highlighted how technology can bridge developmental gaps, while Shivangi Thakur, Assistant Editor at Zee News, spoke on the critical role of responsible journalism. Nitya Pathak, Executive Convener of Sulabh International, encouraged students to contribute to building a cleaner, more equitable society.
Senior journalist Narendra Nath Mishra underscored critical thinking and civic awareness, while Teena Jha, Senior Anchor at Sansad TV, urged young participants to voice their ideas confidently. Maulana Kalbe Rushaid Rizvi, patron of BCS, called for unity and social harmony, and Arunabh Sinha, founder of UClean, emphasised entrepreneurship as a vehicle for societal transformation.
Manoj Tiwari, Member of Parliament for East Delhi, praised BCS for fostering responsible leadership and noted his long-standing association with the platform.

Ankit Kumar, founder of Bihar Chhatra Sansad, said the event represented “a movement aimed at channelising the energy of youth towards constructive dialogue and meaningful action,” adding that hosting the 9th edition in New Delhi marked a step towards taking Bihar’s youth discourse to a national stage.
The event concluded with participants expressing renewed motivation to contribute to democratic processes and societal development, reinforcing BCS’s role as a platform for youth-led dialogue and leadership.
