Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the results for the 69th Combined Preliminary Examination, marking a pivotal moment for 5299 successful candidates. BPSC Chairman Atul Prasad extended his congratulations to the triumphant individuals as anticipation builds for the forthcoming mains examination scheduled for December-January.
Notably, the examination saw a departure from the conventional format, aligning with the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) style. The negative marking system, akin to UPSC, resulted in the deduction of one correct answer mark in response to three wrong answers, initially it was quartet of incorrect responses, candidates faced a corresponding deduction for every accurate answer. This shift reduces the multiple-choice options to four, enhancing the challenge for candidates.
The examination, a rigorous affair, unfolded across 488 centers scattered throughout the state. A staggering 2,70,412 candidates braved the evaluative crucible across these centers, with 35 centers strategically stationed in the capital city, Patna.
Simultaneously, the BPSC unveiled the results for the 69th Joint Child Development Project Officer (Chief) competitive examination, declaring success for 109 candidates. Furthermore, based on the integrated 69th Joint (Preliminary) Competitive Examination, 1120 candidates earned their stripes, qualifying for the Financial Administrative Officer and equivalent (Main) competitive examination. The Deputy Superintendent of Police (Chief) Competitive Examination witnessed 33 candidates securing success on the foundation of the integrated 69th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination.
