1.90 Lakh Teachers to Be Transferred in Four Phases Starting January 10 to Improve School Staffing

Patna: The long wait for teachers in Bihar seeking transfers is finally coming to an end. The Education Department has released the schedule for the transfer and posting process, which commences today. Approximately 1.90 lakh teachers across the state will be transferred in four phases.

The first phase will prioritize teachers with critical needs, including those suffering from incurable diseases, individuals with disabilities, widows, and pregnant women. The list of teachers included in this phase will be released today on the e-Shiksha Kosh platform.

The transfer process will consider various factors, including the posting of spouses, distance between the current posting and preferred location for female teachers, and distance for male teachers.

Online applications for transfers were accepted from December 1 to 15, 2024, with a significant number of teachers submitting their requests.
