SSB Organizes Special Health Camp for Dalit Women and Children in Patna
Patna: A special health camp for Dalit women and children was held at Nari Gunjan Sansthan, Danapur, under the joint aegis of Frontier HQ SSB Patna and the 40th Battalion SSB Patna. The initiative, chaired by Veena Ali Khan, Review Chairperson and wife of Inspector General of SSB Frontier Patna Nayyar Hasnain Khan, was organized by the review members of SSB to support the deprived sections of society.
During the camp, a team of SSB doctors conducted free health check-ups for girls residing in Nari Gunjan NGO and distributed essential medicines. Additionally, 150 blankets were distributed to children at the NGO to combat the cold weather, while another 20 blankets were provided to homeless individuals living on roadsides. Lunch was also served to the children as part of the initiative.
The program emphasized SSB’s commitment to social responsibility and uplifting underprivileged communities. Veena Ali Khan urged the affluent sections of society to contribute towards the welfare of deprived communities, helping them achieve self-reliance and a better future. Awareness campaigns on health, hygiene, and cold prevention measures were also conducted during the event.
The camp saw participation from various dignitaries, including Deputy Inspectors General B.K. Pal and Abhay Prakash from SSB Frontier Headquarters Patna. Medical experts from Ford Hospital and Asian Hospital, including Dr. Vicky, Dr. Meena Seth, Dr. Shikha Kumari, and Dr. Amit Kumar, were also present, along with other officers and SSB personnel, ensuring the success of the public welfare effort.
