Patna: Weather conditions in Bihar are set to change once again as the influence of a cyclonic circulation over northwest Rajasthan and its surrounding areas continues. The Meteorological Center in Patna has predicted the impact of a western disturbance on the northwestern parts of the state from March 2.

Yellow Alert Issued for 12 Districts

As a result of the western disturbance, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are expected at isolated locations in East Champaran, West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Kaimur, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, and Banka districts over the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert, urging residents to stay cautious.

Additionally, strong winds are expected in these areas, blowing at speeds of 30-40 km per hour. Meanwhile, Patna and surrounding regions are likely to experience partly cloudy skies with normal weather conditions.

Temperature Rises in 23 Cities

The state has witnessed a notable increase in temperatures across 23 cities in the past 24 hours. In Patna, the minimum temperature was recorded at 16.6°C, while Motihari (East Champaran) saw the lowest minimum temperature at 10.5°C.

On Thursday, Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 29.5°C, marking a 1.3°C rise. Madhubani was the hottest district, reaching 30.6°C. Despite the temperature increase, mornings and evenings in the capital and nearby areas remained slightly chilly due to sunshine and partly cloudy skies.
