A Symphony of Talent: Civil Services Cultural Extravaganza Reaches Climax on Sixth Day

Patna: The Urja Auditorium in Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna, vibrated with artistic fervor on the sixth day of the ‘All India Civil Services Music, Dance and Short Drama Competition 2024-25’. Organized by the Bihar Secretariat Sports Foundation under the guidance of the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, Government of India, the event showcased the diverse talents of civil service officers from across the nation.

Today’s schedule featured competitions in four distinct disciplines: Hindustani Classical Instrumental, Hindustani Light Classical Instrumental, Hindustani Classical Vocal, and Hindustani Light Classical Vocal.

The day commenced with ten participants demonstrating their mastery in Hindustani Classical Instrumental, each delivering a ten-minute performance. This was followed by twelve officers showcasing their skills in Hindustani Light Classical Instrumental, with a five-minute time limit.

The audience was then captivated by the soulful renditions of eleven participants in the Hindustani Classical Vocal category, each allotted ten minutes to perform. The final segment of the day featured sixteen officers in the Hindustani Light Classical Vocal competition, each performing within a five-minute timeframe.

The event, now in its final stages, has drawn praise from participating civil service officers who lauded the organizers and the state of Bihar for their warm hospitality and meticulous arrangements. The competition, which concludes tomorrow, has provided a platform for officers to showcase their artistic talents and foster cultural exchange.

The closing ceremony tomorrow will feature the prize distribution, with Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department, Dr. S Siddharth, serving as the chief guest. Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department, Abhay Kumar Singh, and Secretary of Energy Department, Pankaj Kumar Pal, will also grace the occasion as special guests.

Participants expressed their enthusiasm to carry back cherished memories of the event to their respective states.
