Patna : As Bihar gears up for assembly elections later this year, political tensions are on the rise. Overnight, posters targeting Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad appeared at major intersections and public squares across Patna, taking a dig at his tenure as Chief Minister.
The posters, which remain unattributed, prominently reference March 10 ,1990—the day Lalu Prasad first assumed office. With a black background, the posters feature an old image of Lalu Prasad playing drums, a nod to his traditional Holi celebrations. The accompanying text reads: “Bihar will not forget… that dark day of March when I took an oath to play the drum of the people of Bihar.” Another poster links the date to the infamous fodder scam, a corruption case that led to Yadav’s conviction.
While the ruling NDA has not officially claimed responsibility, the move aligns with its ongoing campaign to remind voters of what it calls the “Lalu-Rabri era,” a period often criticised for alleged lawlessness and corruption.
