Patna: Knowledge took centre stage alongside competitive spirit at SK Memorial Hall as the Patna Division finals of the Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025 lit up the capital with youthful energy and intellectual firepower.
Eighteen teams from six districts—Patna, Nalanda, Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, and Kaimur—battled it out in a high-stakes quiz competition blending sport-centric knowledge with razor-sharp reflexes. This innovative event, part of a state-wide initiative, continues to push the boundaries of what student competitions can achieve, intertwining education and athletics to promote holistic development.
It was the duo from St. Karen’s High School, Patna—Ambar Sinha and Ishan Bhushan—who emerged as clear winners, their composure and consistency across written and on-stage rounds cementing their place in the grand finale.
Don Bosco Academy’s Aditya Dhanraj and Arshit Arsh secured second place with strategic gameplay and quick thinking, while Asgar Hussain and Mazhar Ali Warsi from S.S. +2 High School, Jagdishpur (Bhojpur) took third, winning hearts with their sheer determination and depth of sporting knowledge.
Veteran quizmaster Aniket Mishra helmed the contest with trademark flair, keeping the audience and contestants thoroughly engaged throughout.
Chief Guest Vivek Kumar Singh, Chairman of RERA Bihar, applauded the students’ remarkable performances and encouraged them to treat extracurriculars with the same dedication as academics. “These platforms are as important for shaping your future as any classroom lesson,” he said.
Other dignitaries present included Rahul Kumar, Special Secretary (Finance), Samir Saurav, Deputy Development Commissioner (Patna), Raj Narayan Singh, Chief Coordinator of the event, and Abhishek Kumar, NIS trainer. Their presence added weight to the event’s growing stature as a model for combining education and sports in public policy.
All attention now shifts to the Grand Finale at Patliputra Sports Complex this Thursday, where division winners from across Bihar will converge for the ultimate test of sports intellect.
With each edition, the Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav continues to inspire and elevate, reflecting Bihar’s growing investment in the minds—and futures—of its youth.
