Patna: Passengers at Patna’s Patliputra railway station can now wait for their trains in comfort, even during the hot summer days. A new air-conditioned waiting hall has been opened at the station. Adults will have to pay Rs 20 per hour to sit in this hall, while children will pay Rs 10 per hour. The hall has soft and comfortable sofas so that passengers can rest peacefully.
Railway officials said this facility was built because people wanted a cool place to sit with their families while waiting for trains. Inside the hall, there is also a small canteen where passengers can buy tea, coffee, or light snacks. This way, they can enjoy both comfort and taste while waiting.
Many passengers are happy with this new facility. Those whose trains are late are now sitting in the AC hall instead of standing on the hot platform. Children and elderly people are feeling much better in the cool hall. Passengers say it is a big relief in this heat.
The hall is already getting crowded, which shows that passengers like this new step by the railways. Officials hope that such facilities will soon be opened at other stations to make travel more comfortable for everyone.
