Patna: Acharya Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham arrived at the Sanatan Mahakumbh in Patna on Sunday, following a brief commotion at the entrance of Gandhi Maidan, where the event was being held. The religious gathering, organised by the Shri Ram Karmabhoomi Trust, coincided with the culmination of Parshuram Jayanti celebrations.Gan

He along with Jagatguru Swami Rambhadracharya, was welcomed by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and senior BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha. He landed at Patna Airport at 1:07 pm and later addressed a sparse audience at the venue.

Taking to the stage, he announced a padyatra (foot march) from Delhi to Vrindavan between November 7 and 16, calling it a spiritual campaign for a ‘Hindu Rashtra’. He further committed to undertaking a similar march in Bihar following the upcoming state elections.

Earlier in the day, a disruption broke out at the entrance of the VIP gallery, reportedly over access to restricted areas. As a result of the scuffle, attendees were temporarily barred from entering the main venue. The incident led to rows of empty chairs at the gathering, despite the presence of several saints and seers from across the country.
