Patna: Construction of a new sports complex, featuring a mini cricket stadium, is set to begin soon in Gardanibagh, Patna. The Building Construction Department has finalised an agency to develop the project, which will be built on 9.5 acres of land next to the under-construction Bapu Tower.
The complex, costing Rs 26,64,45,204, will include an administrative building with a ground floor and one additional storey, a modern gym, cafeteria, parking area, and dedicated green spaces for environmental conservation.
The cricket ground will be equipped with 10 pitches and 5 additional practice pitches. Alongside, courts for basketball, volleyball, and other sports will be constructed to promote multi-sport training in the city.
The project will follow the EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) model, under which the agency will also prepare the design. Officials stated that proper parking arrangements will be ensured within the premises, along with internal roads connecting different grounds.
Building Construction Department Secretary Ravi Kumar confirmed that construction will commence shortly.
