Muzaffarpur: After a long break of six years, B.R. Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) in Muzaffarpur is finally bringing back its convocation ceremony. The event will take place on August 25 and will be attended by two special guests — the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, and the Governor of Bihar, Arif Mohammad Khan. Their presence is expected to make the event even more special for the university and its students.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai is personally looking after all the preparations to make sure everything runs smoothly. He said the convocation is a proud moment for the university as it celebrates the hard work of its students. “This event shows our strong focus on academic excellence and will inspire the students as they step into their future,” he said.
One of the highlights of this convocation is the newly renovated university auditorium. The building had been unused for the last 11 years, but under Prof. Rai’s leadership, it has been fully repaired and updated. It will now serve as a modern space for university events, starting with this important ceremony.
The convocation will honour 54 students from postgraduate and PhD courses with medals and degrees. Online registration for eligible students ended on July 25. Several committees have been formed to manage the event. Key university officials like Proctor Prof. B.S. Rai, Registrar Prof. Samir Kumar Sharma, and others are working together to make the event a success.
