Patna: The Congress party has announced a door-to-door campaign in Bihar ahead of the state assembly elections, deploying observers across all districts to assist residents with voter list revisions and to gauge the political climate.
Under the plan, party workers and observers — brought in from across the country — will meet local residents to address issues such as adding, correcting or removing names from the electoral roll. Where necessary, they will liaise with local authorities to resolve such matters.
The initiative was outlined during a special training session at the party’s state headquarters, Sadaqat Ashram in Patna, where observers were briefed on procedures and responsibilities. Alongside voter list assistance, they have been tasked with assessing Congress’s election preparedness in their assigned districts, including the performance of its organisation, the strength of potential candidates and the overall political mood.
