Patna: Bihar is once again witnessing busy and dramatic politics ahead of upcoming assembly elections. Hindustani Awam Morcha patron and Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has openly cautioned his ally Chirag Paswan to remain in the NDA else he might be left nowhere. Speaking with folded hands, Manjhi said: “Look for your future by staying in NDA, otherwise you will be in trouble.”
He also criticised the opposition and dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s upcoming yatra in Bihar. According to him, such campaigns will not achieve anything, saying: “Banging your head on a stone will only break your head.”
Manjhi also spoke about the voter list controversy. He supported the removal of names that are either outdated or false. Giving an example, he said that just as pond water becomes dirty if it is not changed for years, the voter list also needs cleaning from time to time. He added that only those who benefit from fake names are making noise against this process. His comments came at a time when opposition parties have been raising questions over the revision of the rolls.
