Patna: Patna Smart City Limited (PSCL) held its 35th board meeting at the Urban Development and Housing Department headquarters on Monday. The meeting was chaired by Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary of the department and Chairman of PSCL. Municipal Commissioner and Managing Director of PSCL, District Magistrate of Patna Thiyagaranjan (online), representatives from the Finance Department, along with senior officials including the Additional Secretary, CEO, CFO, Company Secretary and Project Managers were present.
One of the major decisions was to rent out 26,000 sq ft of space at the newly built Common Facility Centre in Mithapur to generate revenue. The building is ready and the board directed further action to operationalise the space.
The board also approved a plan to beautify a 125-metre stretch of JP Ganga Path near Digha Golambar. A statue of Jayaprakash Narayan will be installed and a selfie zone will be created to enhance the public space.
The meeting reviewed progress of ongoing projects under Patna Smart City, with emphasis on quality, timely completion, budgetary management, public participation and transparency. Abhay instructed officials to ensure that projects deliver maximum benefit to citizens.
