Patna: Patna recorded 10 new cases of dengue on September 5, bringing the total number of patients in the city’s urban areas to 364 since August 1. According to local health officials, the fresh cases include 6 men and 4 women, with the highest number of infections reported from the Bankipur locality.
In response, the Municipal Corporation has intensified anti-larval spraying and fogging operations across marked hotspots in the city. Teams are also visiting the homes of confirmed patients to conduct preventive spraying and reduce mosquito breeding sites.
Residents who wish to request anti-larval spraying in their neighbourhoods have been advised to contact the civic body through its helpline.
Public health experts have urged citizens to adopt preventive measures such as covering water containers, avoiding stagnant water, and using mosquito repellents to curb the spread of dengue.
