Patna: Bhojpuri singer Devi, who recently became a single mother without marrying, has named her newborn son Jungle. She explained that the name is intended to send a message about the urgent need to protect forests and trees in today’s world.
Speaking from her hospital in Rishikesh, Devi urged people to plant as many trees as possible to help make the Earth greener. She also addressed speculation about her personal life, emphasizing that whether her son was born naturally or through IVF is a private matter and that such discussions violate the dignity of women.
Devi, who said she could have married but chose not to, explained that her fans are her family, and she prefers to maintain her independence. She has requested the hospital administration to ensure her personal information is not shared without her permission.
Despite being in the hospital, Devi expressed disappointment over public commentary surrounding her motherhood, stressing that personal choices should be respected and privacy maintained.
