Patna: As political activity intensifies ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has launched a sharp attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and the Congress, accusing them of sheltering “infiltrators” and undermining governance.
The remarks follow a visit to the state by Union Minister Amit Shah, who criticised the Congress and RJD for allegedly practising appeasement politics and protecting outsiders. Tejashwi Prasad Yadav responded by promising that, if his party comes to power, every graduate in Bihar would be provided employment and the state would be accorded its due respect.
Addressing these claims, Vijay Sinha accused the opposition of systematically promoting infiltrators and attempting to integrate them into government schemes. He said the Congress had long sought to turn the country into “a shelter for outsiders,” while the RJD, in alliance with the party, was now defending those it previously criticised.
Sinha also singled out Lalu Prasad Yadav, whom he described as “the biggest symbol of corruption,” along with his son and Congress allies, as working to empower infiltrators. “The opposition is spreading misinformation against constitutional institutions to poison the atmosphere and weaken the nation,” he said, urging the public to be vigilant.
Commenting on the forthcoming Congress CEC meeting in Patna, which will be attended by Sonia Gandhi and other senior leaders, Sinha criticised the party for treating elections as “a picnic” and accused it of perpetuating dynastic politics. He rejected Tejashwi Prasad Yadav’s job promise, stating: “Those who take away jobs will promise to give jobs. Those who extort land in the name of employment and ruin the lives of Biharis have no intention of respecting the people of Bihar. They are like wolves in sheep’s clothing, hungry to loot the government system.”
Sinha concluded by accusing the RJD and Congress of fostering casteism, corruption, and crime, which he said had hindered Bihar’s development. He also criticised Rahul Gandhi, claiming the Congress leader “cannot live up to the public’s trust” and repeatedly engages in false allegations.
