Patna: A free hearing impairment screening camp was held in Patna on Monday, offering crucial audiological support to underprivileged residents. Organized by Public Awareness for Healthful Approach to Living (PAHAL) at Nema Place, Exhibition Road, the initiative marked the 26th death anniversary of the late Ladli Sharan.
Seventy-five patients underwent free screening using an audiometer, of whom 17 were identified with hearing impairments. These individuals are set to receive complimentary hearing aids on October 14, coinciding with the 10th death anniversary of the late Dr K.K. Sharan. The event also highlighted the philanthropic work of both Ladli Sharan and Dr Sharan.

Dr Kiran Sharan, speaking at the event, said the programme was conceived by the late Dr K.K. Sharan and has benefited more than 3,500 patients since its inception. Dr Divakar Tejashwi, medical director of PAHAL, praised the enduring social contributions of the late Sharan family.
The screening camp was supported by a team of audiologists, including Suraj Kumar, Kishore Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Sumant Kumar and Neeraj Kumar, and attended by dignitaries such as Neelima Sinha and Nandini Sharan of PAHAL.
