Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad visited the grand Durga Puja pandal at Dak Bungalow Chowk in Patna on Tuesday, drawing a large gathering of supporters and onlookers.
Lalu arrived in his trademark style in a special van, where he was immediately surrounded by party workers and members of the public. Security personnel struggled to manage the crowd as slogans were raised in his support.
The Dak Bungalow Chowk pandal is among the most prominent in Patna, known for its elaborate idols and decorations each year. Lalu offered prayers to Goddess Durga, seeking peace and prosperity for the state, before extending Durga Puja greetings to the public in a brief interaction with the media.
Political observers note that Lalu’s public appearances during festivals are often seen as an attempt to connect with supporters and reaffirm his presence in Bihar’s political landscape.
