The Bihar Congress, in an official post on X, said, “Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has appointed these leaders as AICC Senior Observers for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. The proposal for appointing district election observers has also been approved.”
The move is seen as part of Congress’s effort to energise its grassroots network and ensure effective coordination between the state leadership and the national command. Bihar, where the party is part of the opposition Grand Alliance, is expected to witness a fiercely contested election later this year.
Meanwhile, the party has also launched its “Twenty Years, Twenty Questions” campaign aimed at cornering the ruling NDA on governance issues. NSUI in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar, addressing a press conference at Sadakat Ashram, said, “Every day, a Congress leader will question the double-engine government on what it has done for Bihar in the past two decades. These questions will be asked on behalf of the people.”
