Patna: In a proud moment for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna, Team Dr BAN has emerged as the national winner of Destination Dr. Reddy’s 2.0, a prestigious case study competition organised by Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd., one of India’s leading pharmaceutical companies. The competition saw participation from over 22,000 students representing more than 1,000 colleges across India, making the victory even more remarkable.
The contest included three challenging rounds, beginning with case study submissions, followed by online assessments and interviews. After this rigorous process, only 26 teams were selected for the grand finale. IIT Patna performed exceptionally well, with four teams—Dr BAN, 5 AM Club, Aarambh, and ChemHolics—making it to the final round. Among them, Team Dr BAN impressed the judges with their innovative approach and clear problem-solving skills, eventually winning the championship.
The winning team, consisting of Nishant Sharma, Bhuvesh Nahata, and Aditya Agrawal, was congratulated by Prof. T. N. Singh, Director of IIT Patna, who praised their hard work and dedication. Other faculty members, including Dr. Anoop K. Keshari, Associate Dean (R&D), and Mr. Kripa Shankar Singh, Training and Placement Officer, also applauded the team’s achievement, calling it an inspiration for other students.
In addition to the team’s victory, six IIT Patna students—Nishant Sharma, Namrata Patel, Parth Ganjewar, Md. Hamid, Rahul Raj, and Vinod Singh Rathore—have earned summer internship offers at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories for the 2025–26 cycle. Their success highlights the institute’s focus on nurturing talent, encouraging innovation, and preparing students for opportunities in the pharmaceutical and research sectors. The achievement is a proud milestone for IIT Patna and sets an example for students across India to aim high and pursue excellence.
