Munger: With the Bihar Assembly elections drawing near, political activity in Munger has intensified. Leader of the Opposition and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will address three back-to-back election rallies in the district on Friday to seek support for Grand Alliance candidates in the Munger, Jamalpur, and Tarapur assembly constituencies.
According to the schedule, Tejashwi Yadav will first campaign for Grand Alliance candidate Arun Sahu at the Ghazipur Maidan in the Tarapur subdivision. He will then head to the Phool Ka Khel Maidan in Jamalpur to address a rally in support of Indian Inclusive Party candidate Narendra Kumar Tati. His final rally is scheduled at Charwaha Maidan in the Munger Assembly constituency for RJD candidate Avinash Kumar Vidyarthi, popularly known as Mukesh Yadav.
Tejashwi to Arrive by Helicopter
As per official information, Tejashwi Yadav will arrive by helicopter at Idgah Maidan in Tarapur around 10:35 am for his first rally. His second rally in Jamalpur is scheduled for 11:20 am, followed by the final one at 12:10 pm in Munger Sadar block.
Mukesh Sahni Likely to Join Tejashwi
Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni is also expected to share the stage with Tejashwi Yadav during these rallies. Their joint appearance is seen as a show of unity among Grand Alliance partners ahead of polling.
Tight Security Arrangements in Place
In anticipation of large crowds, the local administration has made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the rallies. Police teams have been deployed at all three venues, and security agencies have inspected the helicopter landing sites and public entry points.
Political observers believe Tejashwi Yadav’s rallies in Munger hold significant importance for the Grand Alliance, as the region is witnessing a triangular contest in several constituencies.
