Patna: The impact of Cyclone Montha has almost ended in Bihar, bringing relief to residents after three days of continuous rain and chilly winds. According to the Meteorological Center, the weather will return to normal from Sunday, with no rain expected in most parts of the state.
However, Katihar and Kishanganj districts may continue to experience partly cloudy skies with a chance of light drizzle. The rest of Bihar will see clear conditions and improving weather.
Temperature Drops by 2–3 Degrees
In Patna, the morning began under partly cloudy skies, but clearer weather is expected as the day progresses. The Meteorological Center forecasted the maximum temperature at around 30°C, while the minimum temperature is likely to drop by 2 to 3 degrees. Cold winds blowing at 10 to 20 kmph will add a slight chill to the mornings and evenings.
Dry Spell Ahead for Bihar
The Meteorological Department has predicted dry weather across Bihar from November 2 to November 5. Residents can expect mild sunshine during the day and a nip in the air at night. Light fog or mist may occur in parts of northern Bihar during early mornings. No rain warnings have been issued for the coming days.
Meteorologists’ Outlook
Experts say that the remnants of Cyclone Montha have now completely dissipated, with no new weather systems developing in the Bay of Bengal. The clear and stable conditions are likely to continue for the next few days. Northern districts are expected to see a gradual drop in temperatures, signaling the early onset of winter.
