Begusarai: Congress leader and Lok Sabha Opposition head Rahul Gandhi delivered a fiery speech during his election rally in Begusarai, Bihar, where he targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi with sharp words. Speaking to a large crowd, Gandhi said Modi, despite claiming to have a “56-inch chest”, is a coward who fears the powerful. “The man with a 56-inch chest is a coward. Gandhiji didn’t have a big chest, but he wasn’t afraid of anyone. Indira Gandhi too was fearless,” he said, drawing loud cheers from the audience.
Rahul Gandhi went on to compare Modi with past Indian leaders, saying that unlike Indira Gandhi, who once stood firm against the United States, Modi is afraid of former US President Donald Trump. “Indira Gandhi silenced America. But Modi is scared of Trump. Trump himself has said many times that Modi stopped Operation Sindoor after his call. I challenge Modi to come to Bihar and say Trump is lying,” he declared. He accused the Prime Minister of weakening India’s image abroad by not speaking up when Trump insulted India and its armed forces.
Continuing his attack, Gandhi claimed that Modi is not just afraid of world leaders but also controlled by Indian billionaires Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani. “Modi is not just afraid of Trump but also of Adani and Ambani. Before the elections, he will do whatever they say, but after that, he forgets the people,” he said. In a mocking tone, Gandhi added, “Tell Modiji to do yoga or dance on stage, and he will do it if he thinks it will make him win. He can dance, he can pose — but he cannot stand up for the people of India.”
Addressing the youth of Bihar, Rahul Gandhi reminded them of the state’s rich history and great potential. “Bihar once had Nalanda University, which was famous around the world. People from Japan, Korea, and England came to study there. But today, when we talk about Bihar’s universities, people only mention paper leaks and corruption,” he said. “You built Dubai and Bengaluru with your hard work. So why can’t you build a better Bihar? The government has failed to give you that opportunity.”
By the end of his speech, Rahul Gandhi’s message was clear — he accused Modi of being a leader who fears the rich and the powerful, while ordinary Indians, especially the youth of Bihar, continue to struggle for jobs, education, and respect. The rally in Begusarai showed that the Congress leader plans to continue his aggressive campaign style, taking on the Prime Minister directly and appealing to the people’s sense of pride and justice.
