Munger/Begusarai: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday heaped praise on Deputy Chief Minister and Tarapur candidate Samrat Choudhary during an election rally in Munger, urging the public to support him. Pointing towards Choudhary, Nitish said, “He does excellent work. Make him successful and promote him.”
The Chief Minister continued his praise for several minutes, calling Choudhary “a capable and energetic leader.” His remarks drew loud cheers from the crowd, as Samrat Choudhary stood up and touched Nitish’s feet in respect.
Earlier in the day, Nitish addressed another rally in Begusarai’s Sahebpur Kamal constituency in support of NDA ally and LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate Surendra Vivek. There, he launched a strong attack on the opposition, particularly the Lalu-Rabri regime, accusing it of years of corruption, crime, and family-centric politics.
“We have been working for 20 years. Was any work done before?” Nitish asked. “Back then, people wouldn’t leave their homes after evening. There were disputes everywhere, poor medical facilities, and no electricity. The earlier government only worked for its own family.”
Nitish also highlighted his government’s welfare initiatives, including employment generation and women’s empowerment. He reiterated his target to provide 10 million jobs in the next five years and said Bihar had made remarkable progress in governance, education, and infrastructure under the NDA.
On social media, Nitish recalled his government’s efforts to improve Patna’s medical facilities, writing that he personally ensured upgrades at PMCH after witnessing its poor condition years ago.
