Bakhtiyarpur: Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan strongly attacked his political opponents during an election rally in Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Bihar, on Sunday. Speaking to a large crowd gathered at the Simri Bakhtiyarpur High School ground, Paswan said, “If someone couldn’t be loyal to his father, what will he do for the public?” His statement was aimed at the opposition candidate in the constituency, though he did not take any names.
Chirag Paswan arrived at the rally along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Both leaders reached the venue by air and were welcomed warmly by NDA candidate Sanjay Kumar Singh and party workers. The local leaders honoured Paswan and Fadnavis by offering a Mithila turban and a traditional chadar. Addressing the crowd, Paswan said this election was an opportunity for the people to choose the right candidate who would truly work for Bihar’s development.
He said that both the central and Bihar governments were committed to making Bihar a developed state in the next five years. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to make India a developed nation, and that dream will only come true when every village and every constituency in Bihar joins hands with us,” Paswan told the audience. He added that the NDA government was certain to return to power in the state and urged the people of Simri Bakhtiyarpur to elect an NDA MLA.
“The NDA MLA must win here,” Paswan said firmly. “When the NDA candidate wins, the problems of Simri Bakhtiyarpur will be solved. But if someone else wins, the people will have to listen to excuses for another five years.” He accused his rival of betraying not just his father but also the people’s trust. “Such a family cannot be true to anyone,” Paswan said, stressing that only Sanjay Kumar Singh could bring genuine change and development to the region.
Promising to bring industries and employment to the area, Paswan said that after Sanjay Singh’s victory, he would sit with the Chief Minister to plan industrial projects in Simri Bakhtiyarpur. “Industries will be set up here, and our youth will get jobs,” he said, concluding his speech amid loud cheers and slogans in support of the NDA.
