Bodhgaya: IIM Bodhgaya, in collaboration with Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital (ANMMCH), Gaya, organised a blood donation camp on Sunday, bringing together students, faculty, and staff in a collective act of service.
The camp, held from 10am to 5pm on the IIM Bodhgaya campus, saw participation from more than 150 volunteers who donated blood with enthusiasm and a sense of civic duty. The initiative was led by IIM Bodhgaya Director Prof Vinita S Sahay and CSR Committee Chairperson Prof Suresh K G, and supervised by Dr Laldev Kumar from ANMMCH. An eight-member medical team from ANMMCH managed the procedures, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the event.

Health check-ups and medical support were provided to all donors, guaranteeing a smooth and comfortable experience. The collected blood will be sent to the ANMMCH blood bank, where it will support patients in emergency situations, including accident victims, expectant mothers, and critically ill individuals.
This marks the third consecutive year that IIM Bodhgaya has hosted a blood donation camp as part of its broader commitment to social welfare. “Blood donation is a great service to humanity — it gives life to others while strengthening the health of the donor,” said Prof Vishal Wankhede, urging young people to donate regularly and help build a compassionate, healthy society.

Students echoed this sentiment, encouraging peers to participate in future drives and embrace the values of empathy and community service.
