Patna: The political attacks on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) continue, weeks after the party’s heavy defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections. Union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi has once again criticised the RJD, comparing its prospects to the extinction of dinosaurs.
Manjhi asserted that the RJD is unlikely ever to return to power in Bihar. “A dinosaur may one day return, but not the RJD,” he said, referring to the fate of the prehistoric creatures as a metaphor for the party’s political future.

Manjhi added that the mandate delivered by Bihar’s voters had decisively rejected Lalu Prasad and his family, signalling a clear public understanding of what he called the “selfish nature” of the party’s leadership. He further suggested that the state government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would drive rapid development, leaving little room for the RJD to stage a comeback.
Meanwhile, former Sugarcane Minister Krishnanandan Paswan criticised RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, describing him as “immature” and highlighting the gap between his rhetoric and electoral reality. “He spoke as if he had declared himself Chief Minister,” Paswan said, noting that Tejashwi’s win of 25 seats was insufficient for genuine political authority. “Had he won even one seat fewer, he would not have even become Leader of the Opposition. He must learn from this result.”
