Patna: Indian e-commerce platform Meesho will open its much-anticipated Rs. 5,421 crore Initial Public Offering (IPO) on 3 December, with subscriptions running until 5 December. The company has set a price band of Rs. 105 to Rs. 111 per share, with a face value of Re. 1, marking one of the most closely watched public listings of the year.
The platform, backed by global investors including SoftBank Group, led by CEO Masayoshi Son, is expected to draw strong interest from both retail and institutional buyers.
Retail Allocation, Lot Size and Investor Eligibility
Retail investors can apply for a minimum lot of 135 shares, translating into an entry investment of Rs. 14,985. Applications can be made in multiples of 135 shares thereafter.
However, only 10% of the total IPO is reserved for retail applicants, while 75% is allocated to Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) and the remaining 15% for Non-Institutional Investors (HNIs).
For small HNIs, the minimum application is 1,890 shares, requiring an investment of Rs. 2,09,790. Large HNIs must bid for at least 9,045 shares, amounting to approximately Rs. 10 lakh.
IPO Structure and Expected Market Capitalisation
The issue includes a fresh offering of Rs. 4,250 crore, alongside an Offer for Sale (OFS) of Rs. 1,171.2 crore by existing shareholders.
At the upper price band, Meesho is expected to command a post-listing market capitalisation of around Rs. 50,000 crore. Promoter holding is projected to fall from 19.08% to 16.76% after the IPO.

The book-running lead managers for the issue include Kotak Capital, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Axis Capital and Citigroup.
