Patna: IndiGo cancelled 26 flights at Patna airport on Friday, causing severe disruption for travellers as services on some of the busiest domestic routes were halted throughout the day.
The airline cited “operational reasons” for the cancellations, which affected both arrivals and departures. Passengers said they received little advance notice, with many waiting for hours inside the terminal for updates. Others were forced to abandon travel plans altogether.
Routes to and from major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata, were among those cancelled. The disruptions spanned the entire day — from the Delhi service scheduled to land at 7:55 a.m. to the Hyderabad flight due at 11:05 p.m. Return flights on the same routes were also called off.

Airport officials said IndiGo is offering rebooking options and refunds to affected travellers. But passengers voiced anger over what they described as a recurring pattern, alleging that flight delays and cancellations by the airline have become frequent in recent days.
