Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the examination schedule for three major recruitment tests, all of which will be conducted in Patna later this month.
The exams include those for District Statistics Officer and Assistant Director, Assistant Town Planner, and Special School Teacher posts. According to the commission, the main written competitive examination for District Statistics Officer and Assistant Director will be held in two shifts on January 29 and 31.
The morning shift, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, will cover General Studies Paper I and General Hindi, while the afternoon shift, from 2pm to 5pm, will include General Studies Paper II and the optional subject paper.
The written examination for vacant Assistant Town Planner posts under the urban development and housing department will take place in a single shift on January 30. The town planning paper is scheduled from 12pm to 2pm.
The Special School Teacher examination will be conducted in two shifts on January 29. The first shift, from 10am to 12.30pm, will include Hindi, Urdu and Bengali papers for primary classes (I to V). The second shift, from 2.30pm to 5pm, will cover Mathematics and Science, Social Science, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit and English for middle school classes (VI to VIII). All examinations will be held at centres in Patna.
Separately, the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced application dates for the main examination for the post of Office Attendant. Online applications will be accepted from January 6 to 20, with the 100-mark main examination scheduled for February 8 in Patna.
Candidates who have qualified the preliminary examination for posts under the science and technology and technical education departments are eligible to apply. A total of 1,190 shortlisted candidates can submit their applications through the commission’s website https://bpssc.bihar.gov.in/ , using their roll number and date of birth to log in.
