Patna: The Entrepreneurship Cell of Indian Institute of Technology Patna concluded its three-day E-Summit’26 on Sunday, bringing together innovators, students and aspiring entrepreneurs to reflect on the challenges and opportunities shaping India’s startup ecosystem.
Held from January 16 to 18, the summit featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, startup pitching sessions and workshops designed to offer participants insights into innovation, emerging technologies and venture building. This year’s theme, Udyamkshetram Kurukshetram, framed entrepreneurship as a battlefield of ideas and execution, underscoring perseverance, strategy and long-term vision as central to success.
Addressing the gathering, IIT Patna director T. N. Singh said nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset and enabling the transition from idea to product were critical to building a self-reliant nation. He, along with A. K. Thakur, senior faculty members and institute officials, commended the student-led Entrepreneurship Cell for organising the event.
One of the highlights of the summit was an interactive session with Acharya Prashant, which organisers said added a philosophical dimension to the discussions and encouraged participants to reflect more deeply on purpose, ambition and responsibility.
The summit’s flagship startup competition, “Pitch It Up”, drew strong interest, with more than 35 shortlisted teams presenting their ideas before a panel of investors and incubators. Panel discussions featuring industry leaders such as Haran Chelle and Chirag Wadhera examined trends in artificial intelligence, product development and scaling young ventures.
An AI Summit, organised as a pre-event to the Impact AI Summit, focused on the growing influence of artificial intelligence in entrepreneurship and its potential to reshape business models across sectors.
Organisers credited the success of E-Summit’26 to the efforts of student leaders including Aniruddh Singh, vice-president of the Students’ Gymkhana; Akhand Singh, technical secretary; and Parth Ganjewar, overall coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Cell, along with coordinators Tushar Garg, Aditya Mittal, Dikshant Khobragade and Prajyot Khandade.
The organisers said the summit reinforced IIT Patna’s aim of promoting innovation, leadership and entrepreneurial thinking among students and young professionals, positioning the campus as an active node in India’s evolving startup landscape.
