Sheohar: The managing director of North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL), Shri Rahul Kumar carried out a surprise inspection of electricity facilities in Sheohar on Monday, January 19, stressing the need for faster complaint redressal and stricter adherence to operating procedures.
Rahul Kumar, who also heads the Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited, visited the electricity power sub-station, the electricity supply division office and the fuse call centre in Sheohar as part of the government’s Samridhi Yatra. During the inspection, he instructed officials to strictly follow the standard operating procedures to ensure smooth power supply.
At the fuse call centre, Kumar reviewed work related to fuse complaints, bill corrections and consumer grievances. He asked officials to speed up the resolution process and ensure that consumers receive timely and satisfactory responses to their complaints.
The managing director also interacted directly with consumers during a Jan Samvad programme organised at the electricity office under the Saat Nischay 3 initiative. He listened to their concerns and directed electrical engineers to make the billing revision and complaint-handling system more effective.
Highlighting frequent power disruptions, Kumar ordered a detailed technical review to identify faults in transformers, feeders and service lines. He said necessary improvements should be carried out promptly to prevent breakdowns and improve the reliability of electricity supply in the district.
