Patna: The Annual Athletic Meet 2026 at Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra Patna Campus concluded on a high note on Saturday, wrapping up three days of intense sporting competition with enthusiasm, discipline, and camaraderie. The grand finale saw all participants celebrated on the field, reflecting the inclusive and inspiring spirit of the event.
The day opened with the 800-meter race, where athletes displayed exceptional endurance and skill. This was followed by technical events including Discus Throw and Javelin Throw, which impressed spectators with strength, precision, and balance. The excitement peaked during the 100-meter sprints, with the audience erupting in applause at every finish line.
Team events like the Tug of War highlighted cooperation and collective strength, while afternoon competitions including the 400-meter race, 4×100 meter relay, staff race, and musical chairs added energy and engagement to the meet. Each event showcased the participants’ commitment to discipline and sportsmanship.
The closing ceremony featured a grand assembly of athletes, a march past, and formal felicitation of winners, presided over by Dr. D.K. Mallik, Director of BIT Mesra, Patna Campus. In his address, Dr. Mallik praised the athletes’ dedication and emphasised the role of sports in holistic student development. Organizing secretary Dr. S.S. Yadav acknowledged the contributions of volunteers, faculty, and the sports committee in making the event a success.
