Patna: Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), under Patna University, recently organised a guest lecture on “Pain Relief and Lifestyle Management” at its campus, attracting around 200 students and faculty members. The programme was conducted under the initiative of the Department of Botany.
The session was led by Dr Abhinav Singh, MBBS, M.D (PMR), a physiatrist and pain physician, who discussed the impact of modern lifestyle patterns on physical health. He shared practical strategies for pain management, emphasising the importance of correct posture, regular exercise, stress management, mental well-being, and other healthy habits.
Dr Pinky Prasad, Head of the Department of Botany, welcomed attendees, while Dr Piyush Kumar Rai, Assistant Professor in the department, coordinated the programme to ensure its smooth execution. The event was also attended by Dr Urvashi Sinha, Dr Hena Naz, and Dr Anjana Verma, who joined the interactive session and question–answer segment.
The college administration expressed appreciation for the engagement of participants and reiterated its commitment to organising similar academic and health-awareness initiatives in the future.
