IIT Patna and Lincoln University Malaysia Sign MoU for Joint Academic Programs
Patna: The Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna) and Lincoln University College Malaysia have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a range of collaborative academic programs. The agreement, formalised on August 28, includes the introduction of a Joint PhD and Dual Degree Program (BSc-MSc and PhD), marking a significant move towards enhanced global academic cooperation.
Kripa Shankar Singh, the Public Relations Officer of IIT Patna, confirmed that the MoU was signed by Professor TN Singh, Director of IIT Patna, and Dr. Amiya Bhaumik, Founder and President of Lincoln University College, Malaysia. The signing ceremony was attended by several dignitaries from both institutions, including Professor AK Thakur, Dean of Academic and Administration, Dr NK Tomar, Administrative Resource, Dr Anup Keshari, Administrative Research and Development, Neeraj Rajhans, Chairman of MES, and Dr Sai Kiran, CEO of TIH.
The partnership aims to create academic programs that leverage the strengths of both institutions. The Joint PhD Program will allow students to engage in collaborative research guided by faculty members from both IIT Patna and Lincoln University College Malaysia, awarding a degree that reflects the joint academic efforts of both institutions.
Additionally, the Dual Degree Program will offer a seamless transition from undergraduate (BSc) to postgraduate (MSc) studies, culminating in a PhD. This integrated program is designed to provide students with a diverse academic environment and opportunities for research at both institutions.
