Darbhanga: A campus placement drive is scheduled to be held today at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Ramnagar, offering job opportunities to ITI-qualified candidates across multiple trades.
According to the Deputy Principal of the institute, the recruitment drive will be conducted by Wheels India Limited, a part of the TVS Group, with recruitment aimed at its Noida facility.
The selection process will cover trades including fitter, welder, painter, foundryman, tool and die maker, along with other related disciplines. Officials said the placement drive is being organised under the aegis of the state’s Youth Employment and Skill Development Department and will begin at 10 am.
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 18,000, along with an additional Rs 3,000 as skill and fatigue allowance. The institute stated that the initiative will provide ITI graduates an opportunity to start their careers not only at the national level but also gain exposure to global work environments.
Free accommodation, meals and transport facilities will be provided to selected candidates. The employer will also offer three meals a day, free pickup and drop services, and company-sponsored higher education opportunities. Candidates will have the option to pursue a diploma course sponsored by the company, followed by a BTech degree through lateral entry. During the diploma programme, candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 15,800.
Interested candidates are required to report to the venue with essential documents including Aadhaar card, ITI marksheet and certificate, a copy of bank passbook, and passport-sized photographs. For further details, candidates can contact the office of Government ITI, Darbhanga.
