New Delhi/Patna : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced recruitment for 80 Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) posts in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The Commission issued a short notice on August 19, 2026, with the detailed recruitment notification and application process to follow.
Candidates will be able to submit their applications online from August 22, 2026. The last date to apply and pay the examination fee is September 11, 2026. The date of the recruitment examination has not yet been announced.
80 APFC vacancies announced
The 80 APFC vacancies have been divided across categories as follows:

Application fee
Candidates belonging to the General, OBC and EWS categories will have to pay an examination fee of ₹25.
Candidates from SC, ST, PwBD and PH categories are exempt from paying the application fee. The fee can be paid online through debit card, credit card or internet banking.
Age limit
For the APFC post, the prescribed age range is 18 to 35 years. Age relaxation will be available to eligible candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government rules.
The recruitment notice also mentions age limits for other EPFO posts, including Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer (EO/AO), where the maximum age limit is 30 years.
Educational qualification
Candidates applying for the relevant EPFO posts are required to have a graduation degree from a recognised university. Applicants should carefully check the detailed official notification for post-specific eligibility requirements before submitting their applications.
